CPBC Core Strategy: Final Hearing Sessions

Council ChamberFINAL HEARING SESSIONS into Castle Point Borough Council’s Core Strategy will be held in the Kiln Road Council Chamber from Tuesday 8th to Friday 11th March. They will commence at 10:00am each day and last until about 5:00pm if necessary.

The sessions will consider the proposed changes, which the Council has put forward to the Plan, and to complete those sessions which were postponed following the suspension of the Examination in July 2010.

In the timetable below, the participants for each session have been identified together with some general questions which the Inspector intends to use in inviting discussion on more detailed aspects of the Plan.

The Inspector is not requesting further submissions on those questions summarised in the document, because it is unlikely that he will be able to take them into account before the hearings begin. However, participants are being invited to provide a succinct written response to them, which might be accepted.

The Inspector can, nonetheless, only guarantee that those responses will be read in the course of writing his report after the Examination has closed.

For those topics not previously discussed, the intention is to keep as much as possible to the original questions; but there will be instances where the effects of changes proposed by the Council will be a factor to be taken into account.

Further information can be obtained from the Programme Officer, Andrea Copsey, on: 01268 882368; or via email at: acopsey@castlepoint.gov.uk.
